New England Package

One of the design features that was invented this past winter, was the New England Package. This package was created to give our customers not only an affordable storage solution, but something that compliments their property. As a result, we have seen a large interest the past few weeks with this new layout.

Here is what separates the New Englander from the average storage shed.

Taller Walls:

Taller walls equates to more vertical storage space, as well as a greater potential for a loft.

Classic Hinges:

Unlike our standard construction which features piano hinges, the classic hinge reflects a typical carriage house look, which was a staple in colonial times.

Transom Windows in Doors:

One of my favorite features, not only does it add additional light within the structure, it gives the doors more character, and helps accent the classic hinges.

Physical Attributes:

Additional features that bring the building to life are Z shutters, larger 1"x4" wood corners, larger 4" door trim, and larger 1"x6" eaves and gable ends.

Put them all together, and you have the New England Package, brought to you by Pine Creek Structures. Stop by a location today and view one of these structures in person.

Multi Car Garages

Excluding this past winter - a garage is almost a necessity in New England. Many people love the thought of having a 2- car garage, but who likes the thought of spending $30k-$40k in order to accomplish it. Well, needless to say, we have an app for that.

Let me introduce you to our Richmond Series two car garage. The Richmond is one of the many structures that our construction division takes care of. Featuring 2x4 studs 16" on center, pressure treated sill plates, double top plates, engineered roof trusses, 2 9X7 insulated garage doors, one 9 light door, two windows, vinyl siding, and architectural shingles.

Sounds like a lot, as well as a hefty price tag. Are you sitting down??? You can have a 24x24 stick built on site for far less than you may anticipate -starting around $17,200 within 20 miles of our Berlin location!

Once the ground work is in place, the construction begins. How long will it take, 1-2 weeks?? Try 3-4 days from when the first nail is driven in, to the last shingle put into place. What are the benefits of having a garage?

The biggest one in my opinion is adding equity. You invest around 17K, and will reap nearly double that when it comes time to sell your home. It is such a worthy investment, I tell my customers you can make a living having us build a two car garage, then you sell, then you buy a new house, then you build a two car garage, then you sell....

So stop by a Pine Creek location today, and ask us about our Richmond Series.

Site Preparation

One of the questions we are asked most from our customers - What do I need to do for site preparation? As you may have guessed, your storage shed should not be placed directly on the ground. Even though our buildings have pressure treated runners, joists, and floors, it is highly recommended that it be placed off the ground.

On smaller buildings, such as 8' wide, the structure has 2 4x4 runners that run the longer span. That being said, it can be placed on top of blocks. The amount of blocks as well as height is determined by the grade of your yard.

When you get into larger structures, such as 10, 12, and 14' wide, site work is imperative. We typically use 3/4" processed stone that is a minimum of 4" thick at the highest point, and a foot larger than the structure on each side. Without proper support under the structure, you run the risk that the flooring can separate from the joist system.

If it seems like a lot of work, that is because it is. But rest assured, as it is just another service that we offer at Pine Creek Structures. Stop by one of our locations for more details.
