What is Poly Lumber?

Poly lumber is one of the solutions to the many problems we face on an environmental level. It is derived from post consumer polyethylene – in easier terms, it consists of recycled milk, juice, and water bottles. The material is cleaned in a decontamination process to a purity level of over 99% HDPE (high density polyethylene.)

After the cleaning process, the plastics are compounded into rigid board stock. Unlike composite lumber, poly lumber contains no wood fillers, resulting in a product that lasts a lifetime.

You may be wondering, why on earth is he writing about recycled bottles!! I am because that is what one our furniture lines is composed of. Within that line, we offer everything from folding Adirondack chairs to outdoor dining sets.
